Minors
CAFNR offers two academic minors for students interested in international agriculture:
International Agriculture Minor — Explore agricultural development from a global perspective to understand how global markets, natural resources, food production and international trade and cooperation are impacted by societies, languages, cultures and governments.
Graduate Interdisciplinary Minor in International Development — This minor is open to all graduate students regardless of department and focuses on enhancing knowledge of the global south through interdisciplinary courses.
Study Abroad
The Director of CAFNR International Programs, Dr. William Meyers, leads study abroad programs each year:
Bologna, Parma, Florence and Rome, Italy – Food Security (Winter Intercession) — Study the consequences of global food insecurity in addition to remedies and actions to end hunger while learning from key experts in the field in scenic Italy.

Peace Corps
The University of Missouri offers a Peace Corps Prep program which aims to prepare students for a future Peace Corps assignment. Students will earn a minor in public service and a multicultural certificate as part of the program. Contact the Office of Service Learning for more information.
