What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

My basic role as Business Support Specialist II includes being an international liaison to CAFNR International Programs (CIP) visiting scholars, dignitaries and business people from all over the world, here on our USDA grants. This encompasses financials, personnel, logistics and databases. On the creative side, I design media for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, including Missouri Youth Institute newsletter and YouTube Channel. We contribute monthly to the Dean’s Newsletter. In addition, I provide fiscal support for MU Africa Hub, the Cambio Center and the Deaton Scholar Program.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

My 8 year anniversary will be this September.

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

I love the diversity of my job and the gambit of people from different cultures, backgrounds and stories shared. Being a people person, I really like helping others daily, and problem solving involving students, faculty and staff. This is my first time working in academia, and living in Missouri, so I find people here are friendly, unlike the big city I am from in Colorado.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I believe in serving and giving back in my community and church, enjoy meeting people, traveling and learning new things. I’m also an avid volunteer for Africa Hub and CAFNR Staff Council.

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

That I grew up being shy and quiet. Being part of an blended/extended military family, plus many moves growing up, has made me the positive energetic person I am today!
