Scholar Programs

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) brings together the resources and opportunities of a large public research institution, coupled with the personal connections and attention of a smaller, focused school. Specialized programs available to high-achieving students are just one example of these possibilities. This list incorporates opportunities from the College and from the University.

Agribusiness Career Connections Program

This program is designed to connect CAFNR undergraduate students to agribusinesses located in the Midwest and is sponsored, in part, by the John Brown Scholars Fund.

Dickinson Scholars Program

The Dickinson Scholars Program provides an opportunity for College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) sophomores to become acquainted with the Kansas City agribusiness community.

CAFNR Honors

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) Honors Program is designed for students who seek an individualized learning experience. The CAFNR Dean’s List and CAFNR Latin Honors recognize high-achieving students in the college.

Litton Leadership Scholars

Over the years the Jerry Litton Family Memorial Foundation has supported the development of future leaders in the agricultural industry and beyond. The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at the University of Missouri continues the Foundation’s mission through the Litton Leadership Scholars Program, a year-long leadership development experience.

CAFNR Undergraduate Research Internships

Paid research internships are available in CAFNR to provide opportunities for undergraduate students to gain research experience on campus.
