“We are thrilled to announce Dr. Parcell as the director of Applied Social Sciences,” Daubert said. “He has the experience, passion and commitment to best serve the people, programs and partners of the division. I am excited by the opportunity to work alongside Joe as we advance a shared vision for CAFNR and DASS.”

In total, he is the author of more than 200 journal articles, book chapters, abstracts and proceedings, posters, organized symposium presentations, and extension publications. To date, he has secured more than $5 million in grant funding.

At Mizzou, he has also served as department chair, director of undergraduate studies and advisor chair in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics. He is former vice chair for MU Faculty Council, having served on the council for two terms.
