Kelly Nelson, agronomist, welcomed guests to the newly unveiled Grace Greenley Farm during the Greenley Research Center field day. More than 400 people attended the 40th annual field day, which took place on Tuesday, Aug. 8, in Novelty, Mo. The event showcased live demonstrations and installations of several drainage water management and sub-irrigation systems. Presentations were given by collaborators such as NRCS, Missouri Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA), Agri Drain and Ecosystem Services Exchange (ESE).

Andrew Biggs, superintendent of Bradford Research Center, welcomes everyone to the center's sweet corn tasting on Wednesday, Aug. 9. The tasting helps researchers learn which varieties of corn are preferred.

Mizzou K-12, the parent program of the University of Missouri High School, is part of the University of Missouri’s College of Education. More than 110 Mizzou K-12 students from Brazil traveled to MU in July. The trip focused on introducing the students to different careers. During their time at MU, they stopped at the Sorenson Estate, pictured here, and the South Farm Research Center.

From July 16-18, high school students from around Missouri met to develop the skills needed to teach agriculture at CAFNR's Teach Ag Summer Academy. Students interacted with current ag teachers and state agriculture staff and toured campus and Mizzou Arena. Here two students performed an experiment that showed an agricultural principle.

From July 16-20 high school students from around Missouri gathered to study the life sciences and its relation to agriculture. Students in CAFNR's Life Sciences Quest participated in team building, trips to CAFNR research centers and tours of Monsanto, Danforth Center and the St. Louis Zoo. Here they spend an evening enjoying Jefferson Farm and Garden.

The University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources weed science program held its annual pest management field day on Friday, July 7, at the Bradford Research Center in Columbia. More than 250 individuals attended the field day, which focused on dealing with a variety of weeds. here graduate student Brian Dintelmann presented during the field day.

The University of Missouri was proud to host the 2017 International Conference on Pig Reproduction at Bond Life Sciences Center from June 11-14. The agenda included conference discussions, breakout sessions and a poster session. The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources was a sponsor of the event. Here, Sarah Robertson of the University of Adelaide in Australia presents "Micro RNA Regulation of Immune Events at Conception."
